A Georgia lawmaker decided to take his Anti-Abortion stance a bit further. He recently purposed to classify Miscarriages as "Prenatal Murder".
State Representative Bobby Franklin (pictured above), has introduced a bill that would make miscarriages a criminal offense. And as stated in the literature of the bill, an offense potentially punishable by death.
I'm going to go out on a limb based off looks that this guy has never gotten laid, nor seen a vagina in person.. There is no way a grown man could not know that a miscarriage is not the same thing as an abortion.
According to Mother Jones writer Jen Phillips, " women who miscarry could become felons if they cannot prove that there was "no human involvement whatsoever in the causation" of their miscarriage. There is no clarification of what "human involvement" means, and this is hugely problematic as medical doctors do not know exactly what causes miscarriages. Miscarriages are estimated to terminate up to a quarter of all pregnancies and the Mayo Clinic says that "the actual number is probably much higher because many miscarriages occur so early in pregnancy that a woman doesn't even know she's pregnant. Most miscarriages occur because the fetus isn't developing normally.""
This is ridiculous. First off abortions are legal.. Republicans get over it... Second, do republicans know any women at all? It is a miscarriage, not sticking a coat hanger up your vagina. A woman could slip and fall on the ice outside and have a miscarriage.
A miscarriage is an awful thing, and to make it worse this guy wants to make you prove that it wasn't on purpose.. And if you can't prove it you get life in jail, or are executed.. He is treating women who have miscarriages like they are criminals.
But it is not a surprise, Bobby Franklin also proposed a bill in 2010 that would require those who are victims of rape to be classified as "accusers of rape". No longer victims, ACCUSERS.
And this is offered by the same party that on the National Level, tried to cut funding for Federal Subsidized Abortions for victims of Incest or Rape.
These people are just inhumane, and not looking out for anyone.. And now just like Hispanic people, black people, Muslims, Gay People, Middle Class, and the poor.. Women would be mental to vote republican.
